A few days with A.M. Hargrove, review of Determinant, book 3 in the Guardians of Vesturon series

Description:

January St. Davis, on her own since the age of sixteen and struggling to stay in college, thinks she’s scored in a major way when she lands a paid summer internship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. One evening, after working an especially long shift, a chance encounter with a group of mysterious men alters the course of her life.

Rykerian Yarrister, a Guardian of Vesturon with unearthly powers and impossibly gorgeous looks, finds himself at odds over the human female he recently saved from certain death. When it seems he is on the verge of winning her over, she is ripped from his hands by a strange and powerful being, threatening to destroy her if his demands are not met.

Do Rykerian and the Guardians have the ability to meet this fierce barbarian’s ultimatums, or will January suffer a horrid demise?

Review:

Um I am pretty much speechless.  A.M. Hargrove has done it again.  This book was wonderful.  I was a little unsure because they used January and Rykerian in this book instead of Maddie and Rayn.  After two books, Maddie had grown on me:)

I had nothing to fear though.  The author included all previous characters from the first two installments.  They were weaved into the story seamlessly.

The war being waged on Earth continues and you get a more in-depth look at the guardians.  This is good and bad... I don't want to give anything away, but there was a tear or two shed for them!

I was happy when everything seemed to be resolved.  I like happy endings... that is until the author drops a huge bomb on you at the end!  Now I have to wait to read reEmergent, book 4 when it comes out!

I enjoyed this book and hope all you YA/ new adult lovers will too.  It is a great addition to the series.  I give this sparkling read four glittery stars!!!
