Dancing With Death

I am thrilled at the progress I am making on my third book, Dancing With Death.  In just two weeks I have managed to hit 40,000 words and made it to the half way mark for this young adult paranormal romance.  It is sexy, full of angst, and has plenty of death.  I am shooting on a finish to this book in just a mere three weeks, bringing the book to life in a matter of five weeks.  Then comes the tough parts of writing, the publishing!

Young adult paranormal romance

I know they say that this genre has been flooded to death, but people are still buying them like crazy.  That is all the encouragement I need.  I have started a YA novel named Dancing With Death and am already a fourth of the way done with it.  I am hoping that the next couple of weeks can bring me to that half way mark.  My cover for Dissolve is just about finished and i can't wait to share it with all of you.  My graphic artist is www.phatpuppyart.com and she does amazing work.  That's all i have for today:) Have a great week everyone!

Work in progress

I have finally finished my second book, Dreamwalker and hope to have it out sometime next summer.  In the meantime while both books are undergoing the copyrighting and publishing end, I will be working on two new novels that are still in the early stages.  I have spent the last two days working diligently on a young adult project and am making good progress.  I can't wait to get into the meat of the story and really develop it.  In the meantime, I am always open to suggestions!

Computer withdrawals

Today the power went out for a number of hours and I had to spend time the old fashioned way.  My computer was useless and I was definitely missing it.  I had never been so happy to have power after that.  I have used my time this evening wisely and am working on editing in Microsoft Word.  The 2010 version is a lot more complicated than I remember...  Suffice it to say, I am learning the hard way and progressing slowly.  There are so many features that I never knew existed.  It will be a fun week working on that.

New series

My book is temporarily on hiatus while it is being edited and all that fun stuff.  In the meantime, I have been working on my second series intensely.  I just finished the second edit of the first book in the Persephone League of Immortals series and am pretty pleased with how it turned out.  It is my favorite book so far.  That being said, I am already at work on it's sequel and counting the words as I go.  Dreamwalker is the name of the first book in the series and will be out later next year.  I hope everyone will like it as much as I do!

Artwork for cover

Today I am pleased to announce that I have found a graphic artist for my cover.  Check her out at www.phatpuppyart.com.   She has done cover art work for many publishers as well as the well known Amanda Hocking.  She does awesome work and I am very excited for my cover art to come out!  Today is a lazy Sunday and I will be working on a fun short story for the afternoon.  Peace-

Research and more research

I have been endlessly researching the ins and outs of the publishing world lately.  It has definitely been an enlightening process.  So much goes into a book that many never realize.  Writing the book is merely one step of the very long process.  You need things such as graphic artists, copyright protection, ISBN number assignment, a way to format your work, and a place to sell your finished product.  With that being said, i have decided to push back publication to the spring time while I get all my ducks in a row.  I have decided to share with you a little tidbit of information each time my blog progresses.  Today, the title of the book will be Dissolve by Andrea Heltlsey.

The first blog

Today is the launch of my new blog and is the first of many to come.  As many may know, I have several books on the burner right now.  For those of you who helped with the process, thank you.  For those of you just getting to know me, stay tuned for more information!
